We can't say much about the beginnings of OldSkool Promo, other than the fact that it was almost child's play intended to act as a hobby has which managed to transform itself into a well respected, fully functioning organisation.

OldSkool first started out by organising a couple of events sporadically, but due to its creators continuously striving towards the very best of outcomes, the need for something more stable and secure was felt. The organisation's aims and future plans were all laid out and a plan was set. For success to truly take place the organisers felt that a wider range of people had to be included in its plans and as such our website was born in 2008. OldSkoolpromo.com has been since then a twice weekly updated site which features all of the islands upcoming events, clubbing related news updates and also event reviews.

Meanwhile the team behind OldSkool Promo also grew in its numbers, it started out with it's 2 organisers; Kyle Sammut and Jurgen Borg and now it can proudly boast that other than its original members to consist of its very own PRO, web designer, photographer and some 10 resident deejays who are constantly looked after by our team. But before that, OldSkool made it's debut into the clubbing scene with it's official launch on the 6th of December 2008 at Sky Club, Paceville with an unexpected turnout of 1700 attendees. Following that OldSkool had the immense pleasure of hosting a range of top venues on Saturdays, these include; SugarShake Club (Empire), Matrix (Axis) and even Axis Club itself. Event organising also began to grow along with OldSkool itself, in the following year two foreign artists; Andrea Prezioso and his fellow emcee Marvin, were booked for an events which shook Gozo's very own D-Code Club, Rabat. Yet another success, generating a crowd of well over 800, quite a number by the island's standards. Also the following December saw the birth of N&N (Naughty and Nice) the first of two brands which have now become OldSkool's subsidiaries. N&N has been regarded by many as one of the island's best teen party organisations which limits itself to only a few exclusive events per year, such as Christmas, New Year's Eve and a mid-summer special. The second of the afore mentioned subsidiaries is entitled Diverso and it has been specifically created to cater for events which aren't considered to be that much mainstream; such as GLBT parties and other similar activities.

OldSkool Promo has also teamed up with Clubbin Malta, a pioneer website in the industry, in order to be able to further produce top-class events. Future plans also include the launching of a new web based clubbing program which will be featuring interviews with foreign artists and also exclusive behind the scenes content to Malta's finest events.
